We are organizing an international Shibari festival in the Balkans, bringing together artists, educators, and enthusiasts from across Europe. The program will include performances, workshops, and community events designed to highlight creativity, exchange knowledge, and foster cultural connection. Join us to experience a unique celebration of art, diversity, and collaboration.

Meet the artists of the festival

RopeMarks

RopeMarks (Bob Roos) has been active in Japanese rope bondage since 1999, influenced by Akechi Denki and Naka Akira, yet developed a distinctive style known for precision, intensity, and connection. His partner Keira, 28 and Italian at heart, discovered kinbaku a few years ago and loves the mix of surrender, focus, and intensity it brings. Together they create authentic, evolving rope experiences that they now share in workshops and performances.

Vlada Vedmovskaya

Vlada Vedmovskaya is a kinbakushi who has shaped the Russian bondage community and organized international shibari festivals for over 10 years. At BalkanBound she will introduce newcomers to the basics of safe and sensuous tying, combining theory with practice. After her lecture, you’ll be able to pick up the ropes yourself and begin expressing simple yet meaningful stories with your partner.

Goldie Sunshine

Goldie Sunshine is a bright new voice in the rope scene, bringing warmth, playfulness, and creativity to every performance. Her style blends sensuality with lighthearted energy, creating an atmosphere that feels both safe and inspiring. At BalkanBound, she will share her unique approach, inviting participants to explore shibari with curiosity and joy.

RopKnots

RomKnots is a rigger from Tel Aviv whose journey in ropes began with a focus on traditional Naka style before evolving into his own freestyle approach. His wife and beloved model, NatNata, is the heart of his artistic work, inspiring many of his performances and collaborations. Together they create intimate, expressive scenes that blend discipline with personal connection.

Andrea Ropes

Andrea and Chiara have been play partners for about 10 years, with Chiara discovering her passion for Shibari 12 years ago and collaborating with Andrea in his workshops worldwide for the past 3 years. Andrea Ropes, an international Shibari performer and teacher from Modena, began his rope journey in 2006, studying under renowned masters and developing a dynamic, expressive style. Since 2015, he has pursued a professional career, traveling across Europe to perform and teach with a strong focus on communication, technique, and adaptability.

Ropekit

RopeKit is a passionate rigger known for his precise technique and fluid style, blending structure with artistry in every tie. His partner, LianaKnot, brings elegance and emotional depth as a model, creating a powerful synergy on stage and in practice. Together, they craft intimate and visually striking rope experiences that captivate both participants and audiences.

Karol Soulrope

KarolSoulrope is a shibari master with extensive experience, teaching her own school and organizing the monthly 'Kinbaku show.' Since 2012 she has been part of the rope scene, learning from Japanese masters and creating performances that highlight the model’s beauty and emotions. This time, Karol will perform together with her model Kwistis.

CatsCradle and RopeRat

CatsCradle and RopeRat, a couple from Southwest Germany, have been tying since 2008 and share a foundation inspired by Osada Steve. Over the years, they developed both shared and individual styles, often co-tying in a dynamic and energetic way. Their performances are known for quick rope exchanges, improvisation, and playful sadism.

Jaeger

Jaeger is one of the pioneers of the Russian BDSM scene, with over 20 years of experience and participation in major events. His bondage is an art of creating bold, visually striking poses that highlight inequality, vulnerability, and raw sexuality. At the festival, he will share some of his favorite scenarios and immerse the audience in his unique aesthetics.

Wisdomme and NyxRope

WisDomme and Nyx are core members of the AthenShibari team, the largest shibari community in Greece, dedicated to sharing the art of Japanese rope bondage. With over a decade of experience, WisDomme brings her artistic and dynamic tying style, teaching and performing across Europe, while Nyx embodies the emotional and aesthetic side of shibari through modeling, co-teaching, and mentoring newcomers. Together they explore the balance between connection, creativity, and power exchange, making their work both visually captivating and deeply human.
